Kozak (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Heather Engel of NHL.com reports.
The Sabres recalled Josh Dunne from the minors in a corresponding move. Kozak will be out for at least one week, but the team isn’t sure when he will be ready to return. The 22-year-old forward has two goals, five shots on net, four blocked shots and 19 hits through seven appearances this season.
