Champions League Matchday 1 action on Wednesday features some heavyweight fixtures.

Liverpool wasted no time grabbing a commanding lead over Atlético Madrid. Andy Robertson and Mohamed Salah scored in the opening eight minutes to put the Reds up 2-0 at Anfield.

Marcos Llorente would get one past Alisson in first-half stoppage time to send the game into halftime with Liverpool up 2-1.

Like Liverpool, Bayern Munich went up 2-0 in the first half of their match against Chelsea thanks to a Trevor Chalobah own goal in the 20th minute and a Harry Kane penalty seven minutes later.

Cole Palmer would put Chelsea on the board two minutes after Kane’s penalty to send that match into halftime with Bayern up 2-1.

PSG were dominant in the first half against Atalanta. Goals from Marquinhos and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia put the reigning champions up 2-0 before the half.

The final late match has Inter Milan up 1-0 on Ajax after a Marcus Thuram 42nd minute goal.

In earlier action on Wednesday, Sondre Brunstad Fet saved a point for Bodø/Glimt as the Norwegian side drew 2-2 with Slavia Prague. Bodø/Glimt was down two goals and had a penalty denied by Slavia Prague goalkeeper Jindřich Staněk before scoring in the 78th and 90th minutes.
