A broken heel?
Pft.
That’s no match for Andy Sachs.
After all, Miranda Priestly already put her through the paces in “The Devil Wears Prada.”
She’s made of tougher stuff.
So it follows that a collapsing shoe stem wasn’t enough to completely derail Anne Hathaway from filming a scene for “The Devil Wears Prada 2.”
Hathaway, the Oscar winner from Millburn, has been reprising the role of Andy over the last month in New York alongside Meryl Streep, who has returned to her Oscar-nominated role as Priestly, the demanding editor-in-chief of Runway magazine.
In the first hit “Devil Wears Prada” movie, released in 2006, Andy Sachs had quite the learning curve trying to adjust to life as Priestly’s new assistant.
During filming for the sequel Wednesday, the high heel of Hathaway’s shoe appeared to buckle and break off, sending her to the ground in her pleated black skirt and plaid shirt as she attempted to walk down steps during filming.

But just as soon as she went down, Hathaway was back up again, with a resilient “ta-da!” expression.
For the scene, the actor had a bagel and cream cheese in her left hand as she descended the stairs. She managed to grip the bagel as she fell, though the cream cheese did hit the steps.
Falling, but make it fashion!

Hathaway, 42, and Streep, 76 — who grew up in Bernardsville and Basking Ridge — are joined by original “The Devil Wears Prada” cast members Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci in the sequel.
As with the original movie, “The Devil Wears Prada 2″ is directed by David Frankel and written by Aline Brosh McKenna, who grew up in Demarest and Montvale.

The screenwriter adapted the first “Devil Wears Prada” from Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel of the same name.
Weisberger had worked as an assistant to Vogue’s Anna Wintour.
Other members of the cast include Lucy Liu; Justin Theroux; B.J. Novak; Pauline Chalamet; Streep’s fellow Basking Ridge local Helen J. Shen from the Tony-winning musical “Maybe Happy Ending”; Conrad Ricamora, Tony nominee for the Broadway play “Oh, Mary!”; “Bridgerton” actor Simone Ashley; actor and comedian Caleb Hearon; and Kenneth Branagh, who plays Priestly’s husband.
In July, the production put out an open casting call for stylish extras to appear in the movie as assistants, executives and staff at a luxury fashion house.
Disney’s 20th Century Studios will release “The Devil Wears Prada 2″ in theaters May 1, 2026.
