BLACKPINK has returned – with a new single called “JUMP” and a world tour. Since the group debuted in 2016, BLACKPINK has continued to break records and redefine what’s possible for an all-female K-pop act.
BLACKPINK gained momentum early in the group’s near-decade-long career, earning multiple placements on the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200. In 2022, “Pink Venom”debuted at No. 1 on the Global 200, followed by parent album BORN PINK topping the Billboard 200. BLACKPINK’s growing international success culminated in 2023 when the group became the first K-pop act to headline Coachella.
Since that historic Coachella headlining performance, the members of BLACKPINK have been focused on solo ventures. Rosé, Lisa, Jennie, and Jisoo have each released solo albums, expanding their individual artistic identities. Earlier this spring, Jennie and Lisa returned to Coachella with solo performances in 2025, while Rosé made headlines with the debut of “APT.,” her collaboration with Bruno Mars — with the track reaching No. 3 on the Hot 100.
Dominating the global charts for the past year as solo artists, the four members reunited for “JUMP” – which debuted at No. 1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts, officially making it the biggest song in the world.
The group’s Deadline World Tour kicked off earlier this month in Seoul, South Korea and has since made its way to the U.S., with two sold-out nights in both Los Angeles and New York City. The tour is set to continue into 2026, with stops in major cities across Europe and Asia. Due to overwhelming demand, additional shows have been added in Taipei, Bangkok and Jakarta this fall.
With tour dates extending through January, anticipation is growing for new music and potentially a full-length album. One thing’s for sure: BLACKPINK isn’t leaving our area anytime soon. Here are the top five moments from Saturday’s (July 26) NYC show at Citi Field.

Jisoo began the performance solo, before the others joined in playfully, with Jennie replicating a backup dancer’s moves, performing the choreography alongside her and creating a fun, lighthearted moment to end the night.

With such a bold and distinct performance, her Alter Ego persona highlighted just how magnetic Lisa truly is.

A Sea of Pink Light Sticks

Fans erupted with excitement as the group emerged, and the entire stadium lit up in a sea of hot pink from thousands of light sticks, creating a visually stunning tribute to the group’s global impact. The powerful entrance set the tone for the night, delivering a jaw-dropping moment that immediately reminded everyone why BLACKPINK remains at the top of the K-pop world.

ROSÉ Takes a Quick Bite Mid-Show
ROSÉ continues to showcase her personality and sense of humor throughout BLACKPINK’s Deadline World Tour by embracing each city’s local flavors. At every stop, she makes a point to try a signature snack or dish — Tim Hortons in Toronto, Garrett Popcorn in Chicago, and Joe’s Pizza in New York City. During the NYC show, she hopped onto the trapdoor lift beneath the stage and opened a box of Joe’s Pizza — naturally, she went with the classic margherita slice.

ROSÉ even called out the NYC Night 1 audience, saying it was one of the most energetic crowds of the tour. She added that they could literally feel the stadium shaking from everyone jumping in unison. The performance turned into a full-on celebration, with fans feeding off the group’s excitement and turning the moment into one of the most electric highlights of the night.
