George Springer has already outdone himself this season for the Toronto Blue Jays.

He hit 19 home runs in 2024. But now in 2025, he’s already up to 20 with a lot of season left to play.

Springer homered Tuesday night to reach that 20-homer plateau, and it’s an exceptional accomplishment in his career.

It’s now the ninth time that Springer has hit 20 homers in a season.

The moment is especially cool because it took Springer 145 games last season to get to the 19 HRs, but it’s only taken 105 this season to get to 20.

Now 35 years old, there was a question after last season as to whether Springer was washed up.

But now he’s batting .291 with an .899 OPS. He’s got 13 steals and 61 RBI, too.

This is a special campaign for one of the top outfielders of his generation.

Springer has 281 career homers and a career OPS of .824.

He was such an accomplished player with the Astros, and now he’s having a special season for the Blue Jays in the middle of this special campaign for Toronto in general.
