Cardi B is suiting up for court.
The rapper arrived at a Los Angeles courthouse this Wednesday looking sharp in an icy-white suit composed of a structured blazer with rounded shoulders, and tailored wide-leg pants. She accessorized with large brown-tinted sunglasses with gold frames, and had her hair styled down in glamorous waves.
Cardi went to court for a civil trial stemming from a 2018 incident with a security guard outside a Beverly Hills medical office. The security guard, Emani Ellis, claims the musician cut her with her nail and spat at her after a verbal altercation. Cardi confirmed the two had a verbal argument, but has denied she ever touched or spar on Ellis.
While Ellis is seeking $24 million, her defense got a boost on Wednesday, when the doctor at the clinic and the receptionist supported her statements about the incident.
The “Outside” rapper has been bringing the drama with the courtroom fashion this week. On Tuesday, she wore a gray tweed suit, the highlight of which was a shaggy jacket with fringe along the center and on the ends of the sleeves. She accessorized that look with glossy beige heels and Louis Vuitton’s black monogram multicolor Chrissie bag adorned with golden studs. A bleach-blonde wig in Hollywood curls completed the look.
