AND I JUST WALK AROUND AND VISIT, GO INTO THE STORES, LOOK AT THE CARS. JUST ALWAYS A LOT OF FUN. THERE’S SO MANY PEOPLE HERE. MY HUSBAND LOVES SEEING ALL THE DIFFERENT CARS AND TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHICH ONE WE WANT. ‘Concours for a Cause’ car event in Carmel supports local nonprofits

“Concours for a Cause” rolled into Carmel today, celebrating classic automobiles with a mission to give back by raising money for local nonprofits.Organizers say 100 percent of the entry fees go to charities chosen by the car owners themselves, ensuring the donations have a personal impact. The goal is a high-quality, free event where everyone can celebrate cars, community, culture and charity.”I’m not a car person, but my husband enjoys it and our friends enjoy it. And I just walk around and visit, go into the stores, look at the cars,” Christy Cushman, a visitor from Houston, said. “Just always a lot of fun. There’s so many people here. My husband loves seeing all the different cars and trying to figure out which one we want. We haven’t gotten that far yet today, but we’ll probably be downtown every day to see everything.”Salinas Surf Club, Rancho Cielo, Carmel Foundation and the Sunset Center are just some of the nonprofits that will benefit from today’s event.
