Week 3 of the NFL season kicks off on Thursday Night Football with the Miami Dolphins visiting the Buffalo Bills in an AFC East clash. These teams come into this game at opposite ends of the spectrum, with Buffalo undefeated at 2-0, while Miami has struggled at 0-2.
This matchup has been an overall struggle for the Dolphins in recent years, having beaten the Bills just twice since Josh Allen entered the league in 2018. So, the Tua Tagovailoa-Josh Allen head-to-head matchup has been a bit one-sided. This week, Tua and the Dolphins look to get back on track and keep head coach Mike McDaniel off the rumored hot seat.

Miami is coming off a crushing loss to the New England Patriots, 33-27. While Tua Tagovailoa and the offense bounced back from an abysmal Week 1 performance, where they scored just eight points, the Dolphins’ defense continued to struggle. Miami gave up 33 points to the Patriots after allowing the Colts 38 points in Week 1. Now, they look to avoid starting the season 0-3 in Buffalo, where the Dolphins have not won a game since 2016.
The Bills enter Week 3 riding high after defeating the Ravens and Jets to open the season, averaging 35.5 points per game (second-best), while the Dolphins’ defense is giving up 33 points per game (second-worst). The defending league MVP also has his own six-game winning streak he’ll be looking to extend on Thursday night against the ‘Phins.
