New Delhi: In a glaring display of racism and Islamophobia, Valentina Gomez, the Republican Party candidate from Texas, USA, shared a video on social media in which she is seen burning a copy of the Quran, the holy book of Muslims.

The video has gone viral, and it shows Valentina setting the Quran on fire with a fire gun. She rants, “I will end Islam in Texas, O God, help me. Muslims are committing rape and murder to capture Christian countries.”

Valentina is contesting as a Republican candidate for the 31st Congressional District of Texas in 2026. Appealing to the people to vote for her, she said, “Help me reach Parliament, so that you never have to face the stones thrown by Muslims.”
