Druski surprised an entire crowd of Rod Wave fans by pretending to be the rapper/singer.

It happened at Wave’s Introduction to the Redemption Experience at the Benchmark International Arena in Tampa, FL, on Aug. 29. Footage from the event shows a figure who looks like Wave slowly rising out of the stage on a platform with his face covered with a towel.

Eventually, the figure removed his towel to reveal himself to be none other than Druski, not Wave. The crowd gasped in shock while Druski spoke on the microphone to alert them to the fact that they’d been bamboozled.

“Cut the music. I got y’all ass,” he joked to the audience. “I’m trying to be another fat n***a tonight.”

Druski’s switcheroo comes shortly after he released a new trailer teasing the musicians who’ll appear on his upcoming Coulda Fest Tour.

In a short video shared on X, Druski shared a group video call that he was on that featured comedian Caleb Pressley and musicians like Snoop Dogg, Soulja Boy, and Lil Yachty. While everyone wondered which of his upcoming shows for the tour they could perform on, Soulja Boy let the world know that he’s on good terms with Yachty.

At the end of the brief clip when everyone hangs up the phone, Justin Bieber unexpectedly pops in to ask which shows he can perform at — but his ask goes without an answer.

Druski’s Coulda Fest tour kicks off in Toronto on Sept. 26 and will run until a show in Atlanta on Dec. 6.

When he announced the tour in July, Druski stated what fans can expect.

“[The 2024] Coulda Fest was such a vibe that we had to run it back and switch up the concept — it’s bigger, better and breaking global borders,” Druski said. “This won’t be your typical comedy or music tour, it’s going to be a cultural movement full of laughs, great music, and surprise guests. I’m always looking to take ideas to the next level, so you never know who else might pop up in your city.”
