LA CRESCENT, Minn. (WXOW) – The 77th Annual Applefest in La Crescent is set to begin with the Light Up La Crescent Parade at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 18.
The festival grounds are already buzzing with the return of the carnival and preparations for the King Apple Parade on Sunday, September 21 at 1:00 p.m., featuring over 100 parade units.
Applefest is made possible through the support of the Orchard Club, a group of La Crescent’s local businesses that sponsors the event. All excess proceeds stay within the community, providing a valuable boost to the town.
The 2025 La Crescent Applefest President said the weekend is more than just fun, it’s a celebration of everything that makes La Crescent special.
“La Crescent is full of people who care deeply about our community, and this is a way to celebrate everything that makes it such a wonderful place to live—but we all get to celebrate it in one really exciting weekend,” Allie Benish said.
Adding to the excitement—the 2025 USA Cycling Gravel National Championships will also take place in La Crescent on the Saturday of Applefest weekend, bringing an estimated 1,000 additional visitors to town.
Applefest buttons and carnival wristbands are available at local La Crescent businesses. These serve as tickets to a weekend filled with live music, parades, and family fun.
