A peer and reality television personality has appeared in court accused of raping a woman.
Lord Charles Brocket, who finished fourth on the 2004 series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, was arrested on Friday.
The 73-year-old appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
He is accused of two counts of rape in London on August 10 and one count of sexual assault by penetration in the village of Warbleton, East Sussex, on May 5.
Brocket, from Fulham, spoke to confirm his full name Charles Nall-Cain, date of birth and address during the short hearing, where the allegations were outlined by prosecutor Aarya Mishra, Sky News reported.
Charges relate to the same woman who cannot be identified.
Brocket was not asked to enter pleas to any of the charges, which can only be tried at the crown court, but it was heard he denies the allegations.
