It was a big weekend for Jennie Garth’s daughter Fiona — the 18-year-old moved into her college dorm room! The Beverly Hills, 90210 star shared videos of the move-in process on Instagram, which featured many emotional and funny moments.

“I can’t believe this moment is finally here. I just couldn’t stop hugging her,” Garth narrates one video, showing Garth hugging her lookalike daughter in an elevator. The teen has identical blonde hair and similar faces that are just uncanny.

“Her first college dorm room,” Garth continues. “It definitely needed a little love, so we rearranged some things, did some cleaning, and then came the fun part.” The clip shows the duo rearranging furniture and disinfecting things in matching white tops. One video was a partnership with Society6, where they shared some cozy prints, accessories, bedspread, rug, and other items from the company.

In the caption, Garth wrote in part, “Moving Fiona into her college dorm was surreal today to say the least. My little birdie is flying the nest, such a bittersweet feeling as a momma.”

Another video shared some funny moments of move-in day. Namely, Garth doing all the work while Fiona supervised. “Hi, I’m Jennie, and I’m unloading everything,” Garth says as she carries a rug down the hallway.

The camera then cuts to her daughter, who simply says, “Hi, I’m Fiona!” and smiles.

Later, Garth shows the wall art she put up, the rug she set up, and how she “moved my daughter into the dorm room when it was 95 degrees,” all while Fiona just continues to smile.

“Living that mom life, who can relate? 😂” she joked in the caption. “I’ve LOVED being a girl mom for what feels like my whole life. We give so much to our daughters because we love them more than words. And I’d do it all over again. Preferably with air conditioning 🥵”

Garth clarified that Fiona did actually do some heavy lifting as well, adding, “She will forever be my baby but I am missing my little bird like crazy!”

Garth shares Fiona and daughters Luca, born in 1997, and Lola, born in 2002, with ex-husband Peter Facinelli. Previously, Garth told SheKnows that she wasn’t phased by having an “empty nest.”

“They don’t ever leave,” she told SheKnows. “That’s the truth. Girls never leave — they always come back to Mom.”

She did admit she was Garth was “a lot more concerned” for college, though. “It’s an adjustment for sure,” she said. “Because I have to back up in order to let them learn … but it gets easier once you see that they’re making smart choices and that they’re able to fly on their own.”

“It’s such a great time at that age to start sort of reinventing yourself and figuring out what the f*ck you want for the rest of your life,” Garth added. “… It’s actually a really exciting time, if people can wrap their mind around that then they’re going to be good to go.”
