Jennifer Aniston is opening up about her decisions regarding adoption.
In a candid interview on an early access episode of the podcast “Armchair Expert With Dax Shepard,” Aniston gave listeners a glimpse into her personal life and her views on motherhood — a topic she hasn’t shied away from.

According to People, the conversation began when co-host Monica Padman shared her experience with freezing her eggs and her apprehension about whether to become a parent. She then turned the conversation to Aniston, asking for her thoughts on the topic now that she has finished attempts at vitro fertilization.
“It’s so peaceful,” Aniston said, the outlet noted. “But I will say there’s a point where it’s like out of my control. There’s literally nothing I can do about it.”
The “Friends” alum went on to discuss her perspective on adoption and why she ultimately chose not to pursue that path.
“When people say, ‘But you can adopt,’ I don’t want to adopt,” she revealed. “I want my own DNA in a little person. That’s the only way, selfish or not, whatever that is, I’ve wanted it.”
Although the actor had reservations about the subject, she admitted that she sometimes looks at suitors and thinks that the pair “would have made some good kids.”

Earlier this month, the actor also addressed critics who label her “selfish” for not having children.
“They didn’t know my story, or what I’d been going through over the past 20 years to try to pursue a family, because I don’t go out there and tell them my medical woes,” Aniston stated regarding the media. “That’s not anybody’s business.”
Aniston continued, “But there comes a point when you can’t not hear it — the narrative about how I won’t have a baby, won’t have a family, because I’m selfish, a workaholic.”
