Kris Jenner Has Become Kim Kardashian’s ‘Ultimate Style Icon’ Amid Momager’s ‘New Lease on Life’

Stepping out for the Maison Margiela Spring/Summer 2026 show at Paris Fashion Week, Kim Kardashian debuted a new look. Instead of her long dark locks, the 44-year-old sported a gelled pixie haircut, paired with an oversized trench and black choker. “Kim was excited to embrace something different,” a source tells Star.

“She’s had long hair for such a long time and always thought the pixie look was super cute.” (The source adds that going short is a great way to deal with damaged hair: “It’s a win-win.”)

Almost immediately, fashionistas pointed to the fact that the short cut was almost exactly like the ’do the reality star’s mom, Kris Jenner, wore for years, joking that Kim was twinning with the 69-year-old momager. It’s especially timely since Kris’ recent facelift made headlines for making her look as young as her daughter. Kris, for one, is loving the comparisons.

“She has a whole new lease on life right now and hasn’t felt this confident and sexy in literally decades,” says the insider. “Her facelift worked out wonderfully, she’s in tremendous shape, and now Kim’s delivered the ultimate compliment by styling her hair just like hers. She’s thrilled.”

For her part, Kim — who has gone platinum blonde several times since first showing off that look at Paris Fashion Week in 2015 — enjoys being likened to her mom. “It feels really cool to her that she has the same iconic cut her mom’s rocked,” says the source. “Kris is her ultimate style icon.”
