Park City Community Foundation announced that it brought $12.5 million into Park City and Summit County during its last fiscal year, bringing its cumulative impact since 2007 to $82 million. The announcement was shared at the foundation’s annual Grants Celebration, sponsored by Deer Valley Resort and held at Snow Park Lodge, where more than 200 nonprofit representatives and donors gathered.
The foundation’s most recent round of grants from its Community Fund totaled $468,000 that went out to 65 local nonprofits this week, with $100,000 contributed by Deer Valley Resort. The Community Fund combines hundreds of gifts, large and small, to address community needs and strengthen the organizations that provide essential services. Grants are made from the fund once a year, and the fund also supports ongoing education for all local nonprofit organizations.
“At the Community Foundation, we believe that solving our community’s greatest challenges starts with a strong and resilient nonprofit sector,” said Joel Zarrow, CEO of Park City Community Foundation. “That’s why we connect donors to causes they care about, host Live PC Give PC each year, and make grants to the nonprofits that give so much to our community. It’s the power of collective giving.”
During its last fiscal last year, the Community Foundation gave out $6 million through 648 grants to local nonprofits, facilitated $5.1 million in donations through the annual Live PC Give PC giving day, and contributed $1.3 million in education and program delivery through its Youth United, Early Childhood Alliance, Zero Food Waste, and Women’s Giving Fund programs.
Donors and sponsors of Park City Community Foundation make all the grants possible. They include people who make gifts of any size, contributors to the Community Foundation on its annual day of giving — Live PC Give PC, and Community Pass Club members and partners.
