LOS ANGELES — A new poll released by the Latino Community Foundation and BSP Research show 62% of eligible Latino voters in California are expected to vote in the special election on Nov. 4.

Eligible Latino voters make up more than 3 million constituents in Los Angeles County and across the state that share goes up to 8.3 million. However, the proposition itself has many split even among this voting bloc.

When asked, “The new map will create five new temporary districts that favor Democrats. Do you plan to vote yes in favor of the new map, or vote no to keep the current map in place?” 51% of respondents in LA County said “yes,” 21% said “no,” 25% said “don’t know” and 3% said “I will not vote,” with a rounding margin of error of 2 points.
