The challenges and opportunities facing the nonprofit sector in the current economic environment will be the subject of a robust discussion at the next Somerset County Business Partnership roundtable on Tuesday.
William Jarvis, who heads strategic thought leadership for institutional and private nonprofit organizations in Bank of America’s Endowment and Foundation Group, will be the guest speaker. Nonprofit leaders who work for educational institutions, nonprofit healthcare institutions, religious organizations and arts and culture organizations are urged to attend.
The roundtable, Challenges and Opportunities facing the Nonprofit Sector, presented by Merrill Lynch, begins at 9 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 23 at the Somerset Business Hub, 50 Division St., (4th floor), in downtown Somerville. The one-hour event will include time for a question-and-answer period after Jarvis’ presentation. Go here for registration information.
A second roundtable for nonprofit leaders, Nonprofit Lifecycles presented by Unity Bank, will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14. The guest speaker is Colleen P. Duerr, president of Shifting Gears Consulting, an independent consulting firm that focuses on grant process, training, communications, writing, process improvement, and strategic planning for nonprofit entities. There is a $10 fee to attend this event, which includes lunch.
