The Rundown: Sports fans, music lovers, & foodies unite this weekend

 

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – Are you a sports fan, a music lover, or maybe a foodie? Whatever you are, this weekend has some events that you are sure to add to your schedule for a little bit of fun. It’s time for The Rundown.

This Saturday, get ready for the Central Alabama Gospel Explosion happening at Selma’s Riverfront Amphitheater and Park. Men of Prayze and Lisa Knowles-Smith and the Brown Singers will be taking the stage. Food vendors will also be on site. The gates open at 7:00 p.m.

Montgomery’s biggest party returns to downtown. The 8th Annual Hog Days of Summer Barbecue and Music Festival is happening on Saturday at Union Station Train Shed. This has something for everyone and two of the best combinations ever. Music & Food. Barbecue at that. This is sure to be a great time. The festival starts at 2:00 p.m.

Football fans, listen up, college football returns this weekend in downtown Montgomery. The FCS Kickoff game between the Mercer Bears and the UC Davis Aggies is happening at Cramton Bowl on Saturday at 6:00 p.m.
