We just know The Studio lead character Matt Remick is just ready to show this trophy off! On Sunday night, Apple TV+’s The Studio took home the award for Outstanding Comedy Series for the very first time.
Taking the stage was Seth Rogen, who created the series and stars in it. “I’m going to do my best attempt at sincerity here. If you watched our show, if you appreciated our show, if you voted for our show, especially, thank you very much. I’m legitimately embarrassed by how happy this makes me,” he said while accepting the award. To be standing up here with all these people — these are the best people I know, and to have them spend their days with me, working with me, is truly like one of the great honors of my life.”
The Studio stars Rogen, Catherine O’Hara, Ike Barinholtz, Chase Sui Wonders, and Kathryn Hahn as studio executives navigating fame, creativity, and corporate chaos in Hollywood.
The show received a staggering 23 nominations this year. Earlier in the night, Rogen won the award for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. Barinholtz was nominated for Supporting Actor, both O’Hara and Hahn for Supporting Actress, and Roben and Evan Goldberg were nominated for Outstanding Directing and Outstanding Writing.
The Studio was nominated for the award against ABC’s Abbott Elementary, FX’s The Bear and What We Do in the Shadows, HBO’s Hacks, Netflix’s Nobody Wants This, Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building, and Apple TV+’s Shrinking.
