Ana Crangle, Cross Country

Paced the Vikings with a third place finish at the season-opening Wooster Invite, finishing the 4K course in a time of 15:27.60.
Paolo Roditti, Men’s Soccer

Scored his first career goal on a penalty kick in the second minute against Grand Canyon.
Tanji Sarver, Women’s Soccer

Netted the tying goal against Saint Francis, marking just her second career goal in a 1-1 tie against SFU.
Bryn VanVleet, Volleyball

Made her collegiate debut at the Rumble in the Rockies, combining for a team-best 25 kills during the three-day tournament.

 
Women’s Soccer

-The Vikings will play a pair of games this week, starting with a trip to Duquesne on Thursday and then hosting St. Bonaventure on Sunday.

-Cleveland State is coming off a 1-1 draw at home against Saint Francis last time out.

-Tanji Sarver netted the tying goal in the 81st minute off a pass from Mayra Sesmas, while the Green & White held a heavy advantage in offensive stats with 37 shots and 13 corner kicks.

Men’s Soccer

-Cleveland State is in action tonight for a Labor Day contest at No. 16 Akron and then returns home on Saturday to host Canisius.

-This past week, the Vikings took their longest trip under coach Ubiparipovic to Grand Canyon, falling 3-1.

-Against GCU, the Vikings got off to a fast start as Paolo Roditti scored his first career goal on a penalty kick in the second minute.

Volleyball

-The Vikings will open their 13-match home slate this week, hosting a trio of matches as part of the CSU Invitational; Akron (Wednesday), American (Friday) and ETSU (Saturday).

-Prior to Wednesday’s match, the Vikings will unveil their 2024 #HLVB Championship banner.  

-Last time out, the Vikings opened the 2025 campaign at the Rumble in the Rockies, facing Colorado, Tulsa and host Wyoming.

Cross Country

-Cleveland State has its fastest turnaround of the year this week as the team heads to the Mastodon Alumni Open on Saturday.

-The Vikings opened the 2025 season with a 4K at the Wooster Invite and were led by a third-place finish from Ana Crangle with a time of 15:27.60.

-Natalie Keller also turned in a top-10 finish, placing seventh with a time of 15:48.80.
