West Ham host their London rivals Tottenham with renewed confidence after securing a vital first win of the season before the international break.

The London Stadium has been a happy hunting ground for the Hammers in this fixture recently, as they are unbeaten in their last five home league games against Spurs. A striker crisis, however, presents a major challenge for manager Graham Potter to overcome.

Graham Potter’s attacking plans have been severely disrupted by injuries. The loss of Niclas Füllkrug for up to a month with a calf injury is a huge blow.

In addition, he joins Luis Guilherme and George Earthy on the sidelines, leaving the squad extremely thin up front.

As a result of this crisis, Jarrod Bowen is expected to lead the line as a makeshift number nine. The creative burden will therefore fall on Lucas Paquetá and James Ward-Prowse in midfield. The team has, however, been significantly boosted by the surprise early return of Crysencio Summerville. He made an impact from the bench against Nottingham Forest and is now pushing for a starting spot on the wing.
