The bar is expected to open in early 2026.
MAPLEWOOD, Mo. — A sports bar dedicated to exclusively showing women’s sports will open in Maplewood, Missouri.
The Sports Bra will open at 7344 Manchester Road in Maplewood. The bar is expected to open in early 2026. It was announced in June 2025 that the franchise would be expanding to the St. Louis region.
The new bar will bring The Sports Bra’s mission to support, empower and promote women’s and girls’ sports to the St. Louis community and region, a press release said.
The Sports Bra St. Louis will show local teams, including the St. Louis Slam, Lou Fusz Athletic and the Arch Rival Roller Derby, and will highlight collegiate women’s teams from area universities including Saint Louis University, University of Missouri – St. Louis, Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Missouri. They will also showcase national leagues, including the National Women’s Soccer League, Women’s National Basketball Association, Professional Women’s Hockey League and Athletes Unlimited Softball League.
The St. Louis franchise, operating under the business entity Pilsner Hill Group LLC, is owned by Heather Hill and Sara Pilsner. The two met as kids while playing on the same softball team, the release said.
“St. Louis has a vibrant sports scene, but dedicated spaces that specifically center and celebrate women’s sports are noticeably absent. Until now,” said Hill. “The Sports Bra will fill this void, offering a welcoming and inclusive environment for fans to gather and passionately support women athletes.”
“We are so excited that Heather and Sara have found the Maplewood location for The Sports Bra St. Louis,” Jenny Nguyen, founder and CEO of The Sports Bra, said. “We look forward to supporting them as they leverage their shared history in sports and their deep commitment to community to lead our expansion into a city with such a rich sports culture. This is a great step forward for our ‘Starting Five’ and for the women’s sports movement as a whole.”
The Sports Bra opened its first restaurant in Portland, Oregon, in 2022. It has expanded across the U.S., including franchises slated to open in Boston, Indianapolis and Las Vegas.
The new St. Louis franchise will be family-friendly and will feature a menu of food and drinks, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free options, and will source products from local women-owned businesses whenever possible, the release said.
