The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kenya Moore has responded to a fan who said she was “trembling in her boots” after megastar Beyoncé went viral for her laundry day video.

The former Miss USA praised Bey for showing off her luscious locks and entering into an area where Moore has been successful for no less than seven years. Instead of viewing it as competition, she used the comparison as a possibility to promote her own brand as well.

The “Texas Hold ‘Em” chart queen surprised the world by sharing a rare video of her hair washing routine while promoting her recent Cécred hair care products. The clip guided fans (and potential customers) through your complete process, showing the effectiveness of the brand new hair care system in keeping hair strong and long.

In the comments section, one person wrote: “Kenya Moore is shaking in her boots.”

When she heard the comment, the “RHOA” star quickly responded with epic enthusiasm: “NO, I was the first star to do this because of my passion for hair and I am proud of Beyonce. There is room for all of us.”

Moore’s comments are partially true. It began its business in 2017 and continues to sell its products, non-stop. In 2017, actress Gabrielle Union also launched a Flawless hair care line, but closed it before relaunching in 2020.

Over the years, many black celebrities and influencers have began their very own hair care lines.

Tracee Ellis Ross, the actress with bouncy, curly hair from “black-ish”, launched her hair care line Pattern in 2019. TPH by Taraji by Taraji P. Henson launched in 1,861 Target stores in 2020 . Issa Rae is claimed to have joined Sienna Naturals founder Hannah Diop as co-owner of the brand in 2020 to bring the product to the masses. The 4U by Tia Tia Mowry brand for curly hair launched in 2023, the identical 12 months that La La Anthony launched its Inala hair care line.

Moore’s products differ from many other celebrity products, including Cécred, due to price and distribution. With that in mind, she welcomed Beyoncé to the market and slammed those that tried to fire up drama.

On Monday, April 23, she posted a video compilation on her Instagram promoting her line while paying tribute to Creole beauty.

“As the founder and CEO of @kenyamoorehair, a small #blackown company (for now) that has grown the company from scratch to now, is sold on @cvspharmacy and @sallybeauty and continues to grow, I am so proud of @beyonce and everyone women entrepreneurs in the hair care industry,” she wrote within the caption of the video.

She added: “Please stop the crabs in a barrel mentality and let’s support each other. There is room for all of us.”

Kenya Moore fan page on X called @GossipInformer, one post read: “Support Black Women Owned Businesses. I really like that these brands show you ways you’ll be able to achieve naturally beautiful hair. The tweet also included photos of Moore and Beyoncé side by side, with their natural locks falling past their shoulders.

The owner of the page then followed up by posting various comments comparing the 2 women and trashing the trolls.

“I said it first. You bald mofos are trying to turn more black women against you. So disgusting. Anyone can succeed,” we read on the website he said. “Now go get a job and take control of your advantage.”

Moore is fully immersed on the earth of hair. In addition to her hairline, she also has a brick-and-mortar luxury salon and Head Spa in Atlanta. The spa uses only its products.

None of the opposite stars can say they’ve it, putting Moore back in her lane.
