‘She thought she was doomed for life’: Fans won’t let Russell Wilson’s ex-wife forget she cheated on him amid viral reactions to NFL draft

The 2024 NFL Draft is approaching, and fans couldn’t help but remember the video that went viral of former Denver Bronco Russell Wilson and his ex-wife checking out he was chosen within the third round by the Seattle Seahawks in 2012 yr.

The recording shows Wilson and his then-wife Ashton Meem learning the news. Meem screamed with excitement, and the photo of her wide, open mouth became a meme shared almost yearly on social media through the NFL draft.

The 2024 NFL Draft will happen on April 25-27, and this yr was no exception with the viral Meem meme that was posted on X last April and re-shared with fans this yr. It was fasting with subtitles“Never forget when Russell Wilson’s ex thought she was going to be a lifer on draft day.”

Despite their separation and divorce, fans proceed to draw Meem into conflict with the NFL champion, who’s now married to Grammy-winning singer Ciara and has 4 children.

One of the fans who shared the post on April 26 he wrote, “Russ got promoted before he got promoted with a thing. He manifested Ciara!”, in response to one other he said“Then she fucked one of his teammates.”

Russell and Meem divorced in 2014 after two years of marriage and rumors that she slept with Wilson’s teammate Golden Tate. However, Tate denied these rumors.

“I did not have an affair with Russell Wilson’s wife nor did I have anything to do with his divorce. It’s funny to everyone who knows us.” he said Tate in 2015. “His ex-wife, Ashton, is still my girlfriend’s best friend. Russell and I were good friends during my time in Seattle, on and off the field – he knows the rumors about me were baseless, damaging to my reputation and an attack on my character. Anyone who spread this rumor was simply irresponsible.

Also in 2014, Russell helped the Seattle Seahawks win their first Super Bowl championship. Even though Meem hasn’t posted on Instagram in years, people still drag her to her page during the NFL Draft.

Below the post about her dog that Meem shared in 2017, several people left recent comments about her previous relationship. One fan intimidated Meem with a viral meme addition“She thought she was doomed for life.”

Fans also left comments under a photo Meem shared of her and Wilson’s visit to Seattle Children’s Hospital in 2012. The couple visited with a couple, Dave and Kristina Quick, and their newborn twins. It was fasting with subtitles“It’s great today to meet twins Franklin, Harrison and their amazing parents! #SeattleChildren.”

“Life is set huh,” one fan remarked.

Other fans continued their attack on the X. One fan he wrote“What’s not in this photo is her dad kissing her on the head like she was drafted. He thought he too was doomed for life. Other he replied“Probably works at Starbucks… More crazy than muddy bullshit.”

Meem has not publicly responded to her recent online activity and is reported to be working as an advertising account specialist for an insurance company.

Wilson left the Seahawks in 2021 and spent the year playing for the Denver Broncos. He currently plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and his wife of almost 8 years, Ciara, is preparing for a mega music tour.
