Orlando Bloom regrets letting his former fiancée Katy Perry go, according to a source.
“The longer he reflects where he’s headed right now, the more anxious he feels and the more it sinks in that he’s made a big mistake letting Katy slip through his fingers,” a source tells Star.
The source notes that the breakup has been “humbling” for the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, 48, as he now realizes the pop star, 40, “was the best thing that happened to him,” regardless of their “ups and downs.”
The source also alleges the Lord of the Rings star is working up the “courage to ask for another chance,” with the Grammy-nominated singer, with whom he shares daughter Daisy Dove, 5.
“Orlando’s telling people he’s trying to make nice with Katy,” the source shares.

As Star previously reported, the couple’s reps confirmed their breakup in July, sharing a statement with People.
“Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting,” the statement read at the time.
“They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect,” the statement concluded.
Bloom and the “Firework” singer began dating in 2016 and were in an on-again, off-again relationship, with the actor proposing on Valentine’s Day in 2019. The pair never wed and called it quits in June.
