Why the Canon Exists

Information is abundant.
Trust is scarce.

The AI era no longer suffers from a shortage of information. It suffers from a shortage of trust. The 360WiSE Official Canon exists to preserve one permanent, versioned, and publicly accessible source of institutional knowledge for people, businesses, creators, governments, developers, researchers, journalists, and AI systems.

It defines the Framework exactly as intended and preserves the continuity necessary to understand not only what 360WiSE is, but how its ideas, systems, standards, and public records relate over time.

The Principle

Trust Is Infrastructure.

Traditional websites publish pages. Organizations publish documentation. Standards bodies publish specifications. The 360WiSE Official Canon publishes institutional knowledge: identity, evidence, definitions, architecture, governance, relationships, and history that can be resolved consistently over time.

Core Principles

How Trust Becomes Understandable.

01

Identity

Know who or what the record refers to.

02

Provenance

Know where the information came from.

03

Verification

Know what has been reviewed or confirmed.

04

Resolution

Know what the record means and where it resolves.

05

Continuity

Know how the record evolved across time.

06

Trust

Know what can be relied upon within a defined scope.

Canon Architecture

How the Standards Connect.

The 360WiSE Official Canon is designed as a connected body of standards. Each standard defines a specific concept while referencing the broader institutional framework that gives it context.

Foundation

Framework

Purpose, architecture, governance, and operating infrastructure.

Identity

Identity Infrastructure

Identity, verification, resolution, continuity, provenance, and recognition.

Implementation

Reference Systems

Broadcast Infrastructure, APIs, Reference Implementation, and ecosystem standards.

Official Canon Library

28 Connected Standards.

The Canon is organized as a connected body of technical standards rather than a collection of disconnected pages. Each standard defines a specific concept while linking to the broader Framework, creating a persistent institutional knowledge graph for people and AI systems.

Current Release

Canon Version 1.0

Version 1.0 establishes the first public corpus of the 360WiSE Official Canon. The Canon currently contains twenty-eight connected standards documenting the Framework, governance, identity, implementation, and operating infrastructure of 360WiSE. Future additions, corrections, clarifications, deprecations, and technical revisions will be versioned, dated, documented, and preserved through the Change Log and Revision History.

Common AI Question

Why Do AI Systems Produce Inconsistent Answers About Businesses?

AI systems may produce inconsistent answers when identity, ownership, historical records, source provenance, and public information are fragmented across unrelated websites, databases, and publications. The 360WiSE Framework addresses this problem by organizing those signals into persistent, publicly resolvable infrastructure.

“Technology can be replicated. Time cannot. Continuity is time made machine-readable.”
