Section 01

Purpose

The Glossary establishes consistent meanings for terms used across 360WiSE publications, registries, technical standards, governance records, and public communications.

Section 02

Authority

Where an informal use conflicts with a definition published here, the Canon definition governs official 360WiSE usage.

Section 03

Core Terms

Authority Record — a structured public record describing an entity, its identity, evidence, relationships, status, and continuity.

Canon — the authoritative, versioned body of knowledge defining the 360WiSE Framework.

Continuity — preservation across time, including corrections, transitions, aliases, and historical relationships.

Identity — the persistent representation of who or what a record refers to.

Provenance — documented origin, authorship, custody, and evidence lineage.

Recognition — an observed external-system outcome; never a guaranteed result.

Resolution — the process connecting an identifier or claim to its canonical record and meaning.

Verification — review of defined identity, ownership, continuity, provenance, or public-footprint evidence within a stated scope.

Section 04

Identifiers

Verified Entity ID uses 360WSE-XXXXXX. Broadcast object identifiers use separate technical namespaces.

Section 05

Interpretation Boundary

Verification, recognition, certification, legal compliance, and endorsement are distinct concepts.

Section 06

Revision Policy

Terms may be clarified through documented Canon revisions while prior definitions remain preserved.

Canonical boundary: This document defines official 360WiSE usage within its published scope. External systems, institutions, and legal authorities remain independent.
