Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson may not be on the same page when it comes to their relationship status.

A source tells Star that the Batman Begins actress, 46, is “clearly getting her hopes up for this to go somewhere” with her former Dawson’s Creek co-star, 47, as they film their latest collab, Happy Hours.

“She’s an expert at playing it cool and keeping her feelings in check,” the source explains of Holmes. “She’s not going to want to let her cards show and admit that she’s fallen for Josh.”

The source notes that Jackson “says all the right things and is very charming,” but alleges the actor — who was recently spotted out with Priya Jain and Simone Ashley — is still “out there dating these women in their 20s.”

“It’s fine if he doesn’t want to settle down, but he needs to stop giving Katie such mixed messages,” the source remarks.

The pair are playing love interests in Happy Hours — which Holmes wrote and is directing — which is a reason for her “to want to keep things sweet.”

An insider told Star in July that on set, Jackson and Holmes tend to “stick to themselves mostly and are always deep in conversation” while keeping their relationship under wraps.

“Clearly all the feelings are buzzing again but they’re not going to go public with it anytime soon,” the source said. “They’re in the midst of filming and are very professional, not until they’re done working would they ever cop to this.”

The two A-listers famously starred in Dawson’s Creek together from 1998 until 2003, and briefly dated during the first season of the show.

On September 22, the cast reunited for a live reading of the pilot episode in NYC, and the pair were spotted cozying up to each other, per clips shared on X.
