The longtime friends are believed to have had a falling out amid Blake’s legal battle with her It Ends With Us costar Justin Baldoni, whom Blake sued for sexual harassment in December 2024. Justin denied the claims, and in a countersuit, he alleged that Blake had used her friendship with Taylor to try and take control of the script. Blake denied that, too, but sources claimed her relationship with Taylor had still suffered as a result.

“Their friendship has halted,” a source previously told People. “Taylor wants no part in this drama.”

But Blake seems to be keeping things friendly — at least on her end. On Friday, she was spotted liking Taylor’s Instagram post celebrating the release of Showgirl.

“I can’t tell you how proud I am to share this with you, an album that just feels so right,” Taylor wrote. “A forever thank you goes out to my mentors and friends Max and Shellback for helping me paint this self portrait.”

Some fans also think Taylor may have nodded to their friendship on the album’s 10th track, “CANCELLED!” — which praises friends who’ve weathered public fallout. One lyric describes someone “cloaked in Gucci and in scandal,” which many believe is a reference to Blake’s role as a brand ambassador of Gucci’s Première fragrance. Another lyric mentions “poison thorny flowers,” possibly alluding to Blake’s It Ends With Us character, Lily, who owned a flower shop.

Taylor hasn’t yet confirmed or denied who “CANCELLED!” is about — but we’ll see if she does.
