Lady Gaga has been beloved for years as a powerhouse singer, performer, actor, founder of Haus Labs and the non-profit organization, the Born This Way Foundation, and more. But her next starring role? Well, she hopes it’s motherhood.
For those who don’t know, Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, have been together since 2020, and got engaged this year. And it seems they have babies on the brain.
In case you missed it, Gaga made a recent appearance on Stephen Colbert in an on-air interview for The Late Show. When asked if she’d like to continue acting in movies or performing on Broadway, she said she wants to do “all of these things.” However, she added, “What I really want is to be a mom. That’s my next starring role, I hope.”

Now, this isn’t the first time Gaga has discussed becoming a mother. She has discussed it extensively over the years, with the most notable instance occurring in a New York Times interview from earlier in 2025.
“I’m excited to be a mom,” she said. “I used to have a lot of apprehension about it. The thing that’s the most important to me is to not force my children to live a life that they are not choosing. So the more that we can give them space to discover who they are on their own, that’s the thing that I believe in the most.”
