A group of businesses and nonprofits sued the Trump administration Monday alleging the Environmental Protection Agency illegally canceled the $7 billion “Solar for All” program.

The Rhode Island AFL-CIO and other nonprofit groups and businesses linked to other states said if the program is killed, “nearly one million low-income households will lose access to affordable, resilient solar in communities in all states and territories, and hundreds of thousands of good-paying, high-quality jobs will be lost.”

The plaintiffs allege the EPA is violating both the US Constitution and the Administrative Procedure Act.
