South Alabama kicker Davis Little is listed as “probable” for Thursday night’s game at Georgia State, according to the initial Sun Belt Conference availability report released late Monday.

Little, the only scholarship kicker on the Jaguars’ roster, has missed the entire season thus far. Back-up kicker Hamilton DiBoyan has been inconsistent in Little’s absence, notably missing a 29-yard field goal that would have given South Alabama a 5-point lead late in a game it lost 15-14 to Arkansas State last Tuesday.

Other notable injury updates for the Jaguars include linebacker Caleb Dozier and cornerback Brian Dillard, both of whom are listed as “out.” Dozier ranks third on the team with 39 tackles this season, while Dillard has rotated in at cornerback and also plays a key role on special teams.

In addition to Little, safeties Mike Harris and Dallas Young, offensive tackle Ethan Hubbard and running back PJ Martin are also listed as “probable” for Thursday. Harris and Hubbard are starters for the Jaguars, while Martin is the team’s second-leading rusher.

Safety Ty Goodwill is not listed on South Alabama’s injury report for the second straight week after missing the previous four games. Goodwill — who began the season as the Jaguars’ starting Rover (strong safety) — did not play vs. Arkansas State, but head coach Major Applewhite said Monday he expects the redshirt freshman from Mobile to play a prominent role on Thursday.

“There’s that middle ground — there’s ‘hurt’ and ‘out,’ and then there’s ‘100% fresh,’” Applewhite said. “And then there’s ‘what is his percentage versus the guy who’s 100%? Is this guy’s 70 better than this guy’s 100? Is this guy’s 75 better than this guy’s 100? Is this guy’s 90 better than this guy’s 100?’ And so he’s gotten back now where he will be playing more.”

South Alabama (1-6, 0-3 Sun Belt) meet Georgia State (1-6, 0-3) at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Center Parc Stadium in Atlanta. The game will air live on ESPN2.
