Chris Brown was unbothered and totally uninterested in singer Kevin McCall’s money woes, which are so extreme that he cried about it on a nationally filmed podcast that has gone viral.
In fact, Breezy laughed at McCall’s travails and mocked him for sobbing in public.
Kevin McCall cried on a podcast
McCall, who used to collaborate with Brown 15 years ago on songs like “Deuces,” became overwhelmed with emotions as he explained on the “Back on Figg” podcast that the residuals for those old songs no longer pay his bills.
Moreover, McCall has now become so broke that he had to get food stamps. He showed the viewing audience his EBT card before collapsing into tears and putting his head in his lap.
Kevin McCall pleas for Chris Brown’s help
“Why the f–k I got an EBT card?” McCall cried out during the interview before directly addressing Breezy. “I am not asking for a handout. I just want what’s rightfully mine. I helped build his empire.”
Young Thug tries to intervene
Young Thug tried to intervene online and claim that Brown was just too busy to get back with him right away. Thugger also offered to help McCall out financially.
“Hit me up my “n—a, I’ll give u the 25k u need,” Thug vowed, adding, “and i [know] CB would give it to you bro he a real one. N—-s is busy sometimes brada.”
Chris Brown mocks Kevin McCall
It turns out that Breezy did see the viral clip and chose not to help out his former friend and collaborator.
Brown claimed that McCall burned the bridge that united them in the past and there is no repairing the friendship.
“Remember this: you can’t walk across a burnt bridge. And you know what’s funnier than a troll? A BROKE ONE 😏”
McCall’s friendship with Breezy soured years ago
Brown has apparently had kept receipts and score over previous slights and threats that McCall allegedly made against him.
TMZ reports that McCall peppered Bryson Tiller with gay jokes after he bestowed Breezy a new Lamborghini for taking him along the ride for his “Breezy Bowl XX” tour.
Another publication reported that the Breezy-McCall friendship fractured in 2020, after McCall allegedly threatened to kill Brown and his daughter, Royalty, during an online argument.
If there is any truth to the threats, most know that the famously pugnacious and quick-tempered Brown can hold grudges.
