Bijou Phillips is officially closing the chapter of her life that included her ex-husband, Danny Masterson.
For those who don’t know, Masterson and Phillips married after seven years together in 2011. In 2014, they welcomed a daughter. However, in 2023, the That ’70s Show star was sentenced to serve 30 years to life in prison at the North Kern State Prison in Delano, California, for raping two women. She filed for divorce the same month, and since then has been romantically linked to Alessandra Ambrosio’s ex Jamie Mazur.
And now, it seems a judge has officially ended their marriage; and any connection their daughter has to him. In case you missed it, TMZ obtained documents showing that Phillips filed to have their daughter’s name changed from Fianna Francis Masterson to Fianna Francis Phillips, eliminating any mention of Masterson.
Around the same time she filed, an update came from TMZ, claiming: “A judge restored Bijou and Danny to the status of single persons Friday afternoon.” This means they are divorced, and it’s only a matter of time before their daughter loses the “Masterson” in her name.

Now, insiders told DailyMail about her decision to do this all, and finalize it all two years later. They said, “Recently friends and family have told her to be a mom first and to consider divorce because it really shows her daughter that eventually people need to be held accountable for what they do, even if it is someone they love.”
“Bijou also is doing it to protect her assets and protect her future,” they added. “She doesn’t want to lose money and land and housing over a future civil lawsuit against Danny, she is looking to protect her future and that is one big reason she has pursued divorce…”
