Starz’s hit series “BMF” is back and the season kicked off with the expansion of the Black Mafia family, with Big Meech (Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr.) starting an organization in Atlanta while the remainder of his family and his brother Terry Flenory (Da’Vinchi) runs an organization in Detroit. The expansion of the BMF organization means tons of latest characters and more drama.
“It’s definitely been tested. Meech has no family in Atlanta, no brother, no team to support him. So he has to make use of different tactics and approach the situation in a different way,” Flenory Jr. said. “He is surrounded by individuals who don’t trust him and who he doesn’t learn about. There are recent faces, so he has to make decisions properly.
Flenory explained how Meech is adjusting to living on her own in Atlanta, stating that living without the same support system makes Meech develop into more of a boss and truly understands that it’s more of a game of “chess, not checkers.”
The recent character Meech meets is Greeny, played by Grammy Award-winning artist Ne-Yo. When asked if Greeny could possibly be a part of the family, Ne-Yo’s answer left us in suspense.
“Greeny could be part of a family, but at the same time he is an entrepreneur, a businessman, and with this particular character, all of that is more important,” Ne-Yo said. – He supported you, but I do not know if a greater situation will come. You never know. You just should keep your eyes open and pray that he’s a friend and never an enemy.
While Meech deals with the ups and downs of constructing the BMF business in Atlanta, his family in Detroit goes through their very own struggles.
Meech’s mother and sister have all the time been a shining example of the quintessential Black mother-daughter relationship. This season, we see that bond grow stronger as Lucille Flenory (Michole Briana White) and Nicole Flenory (Laila Pruitt) cope with the infidelity of Lucille’s husband and Nicole’s father, Charles Flenory. The two revealed that in some ways they’ve parallel stories.
“They’re both coming into themselves and finding each other,” Pruitt said. In Season 3, Nicole worries less about her family and “focuses on herself and what she wants.”

White stated that Nicole has truly been a “pillar of strength” for her and that they’ve really needed to be supportive of one another this season amidst the trials their family has faced.
Another storyline added to the family drama is the story of Terry Flenory and his love triangle with Lawanda (Sydney Mitchell) and Markaisha Taylor (La La Anthony).
Da’Vinchi explains his understanding that a lady who was there from day one never got the respect she deserved. He said he believes many female viewers “are on Lawanda’s side” because lots of them can relate to her after having children after which seeing her father leave the family.
After Meech’s move to Atlanta, infidelity and a love triangle, it’s clear that fans are in for an actual treat as the Black Mafia family is put to the test. The first episode of “BMF” is now available on all Starz platforms. The series has been ordered for a fourth season, so the drama has no end date.
