ONALASKA, Wis. (WXOW) – Cirque Italia is bringing its European-style circus back to Valley View Mall this weekend from October 24 to 27.

The traveling show features a unique production that blends high-tech lights, music, and water effects.

The show, titled Metropolis, includes a stage imported from Italy that transforms into a pool mid-performance. The group consists of about 80 performers and crew members from around the world, showcasing daring acts from 20 skilled artists.

It has been nearly two years since the group last visited the area, but organizers say coming back was an easy decision.

“We wanted to come back because we really liked the last time and the energy of the people when we were here,” said Julien Capezi, the media manager for Cirque Italia. “It’s magical when you’re in a small city because the people are more expressive, more positive, and we like that.”

Shows will run through the weekend, with tickets available online or at the tent outside Valley View Mall.
