Derek Hough won’t let this aspirational waltz go.

During his Oct. 20 interview with Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, the Dancing with the Stars judge revealed who his dream dance partner is—and his answer left them both frozen.

“I’m gonna be honest with you,” Derek, 40, told the Nobody Wants This costars in the Extrasegment. “Kristen, you’ve been my number one for a while.”

The 45-year-old—who shares daughtersLincoln, 11, and Delta, 10, with husband Dax Shepard—dropped her jaw in shock, before sharing the hilarious reason why she might not be the ideal candidate to tango with on DWTS. 

“Derek, do you know that I tip over all the time?” Kristen teased while covering her face. “Like, even just walking?” 

Adam, 45, then teasingly asked Derek if that would be “a fun challenge” or would he rather compete with “someone really talented.” (After all, the last time he won the Mirrorball Trophy was in 2015 withBindi Irwin, five years before he became a full-time judge on the series.)
