Like college basketball star Flau’jae, the world was introduced to chart-topping rapper Latto from Jermaine Dupri’s hit reality show “The Rap Game.” Fans also met Shayne Stephens, the daddy of the rapper formerly generally known as Mulatto, who appeared on the series as her guardian.

The artist’s mother, Misti Pitts, is barely less known within the industry and barely appears in public along with her famous daughter.

Now that the “Big Energy” rapper has posted several photos of her mom on social media, individuals are getting a crash course in who she is while also asking questions on the very intimate details of her parents’ relationship.

One of the photos shows a teenage Pitts holding her firstborn child. Another shows Latto’s mother in a cropped tank top and short pink shorts along with her belly visible.

“My 15 year old mom is fucking me fast,” she captioned the throwback video.

After the video went viral, someone reposted the photo and shared it with a caption that sparked a mountain of speculation: “Her dad was 23 and mom was 15 at the time of conception,” the post read. “Wouldn’t that make her father a pedophile? Mhm, he thinks.

Latto shared a photo of herself as a baby being held by her mother with the caption: “My 15 year old mom is fucking me fast.”

Fans on social media also commented on the couple.

“Don’t start that shit. Another period! Some of our grandmothers are 10 years younger than our grandfathers” – one person he wrote.

“If her parents were the other way around, they wouldn’t have hated, but Latto wouldn’t be who she is today if it were like that” – one other user X he wrote.

“Why does it matter how old Latto’s dad was/is? in the nicest way possible her parents are nothing…are they ok,” a third tweet To read.

The “Issa Party” artist immediately shut down the criticism, stating, “My parents are 3 years apart, lol.” Many people cited Latto’s account of the context of her parents’ relationship and provided insight into how some long-ago relationships were cemented.

“I could have sworn Latto said her parents met in high school” – one user X he reminded. Other he said“15 years old, looks 30.”

“At this point @Latto needs to sue all of you for deliberately trying to spread misinformation about her family because you knew it was a lie and even went as far as to cover up a response that was false…just weird…fr.”

Latto is 25 years old and was born on December 22, 1998 in Columbus, Ohio, when Pitts was 15 years old. They moved to Atlanta, Georgia when Latto was a teenager.

Stephens’ age is unknown and unrecorded online. However, their daughter suggests that her dad was only three years older than her mother – which still makes him a legal adult of 18 or 19, and her mother the age at which Latto was conceived with Latto’s consent, and her mother was actually born in 1982. In Ohio, the age of consent for sexual activity with an adult is 16.

Pitts is a Caucasian woman and Stephens is African American. This is not the primary time Latto has had to defend her parents. During a social media spat with Nicki Minaj in 2022, Latto attacked the Queens rapper and her husband, Kenneth Petty, for bringing up Petty’s sexual assault conviction.

“I WAS a subscriber… super weird granny is married AND related to f***ing rapists,” Latto wrote. “You’re not abusing me, BI**H! My idol became a rival, now you hate.”

The answer was sloppy and mentioned all the anomaly of her parents’ relationship, indistinguishably mixing fact and fiction.

“Scratch, fuck you, you silly ass, get on the mic NOW!!!! Explain this shit!!!! If you’ve got change into a rape activist within the last 5 minutes, you whore* will need to have a good explanation for this shit!!!! Sure TF now!!! This have to be a typo,” the “Bang Bang” rapper wrote after sharing a tweet concerning the younger artist’s parents.

Latto didn’t let anything slide, replying, “Loud and bad again… They were both teenagers in betting school, still married lmao.”
