This fall, the Center is elevating its tradition of service through a series of events: the “Every Ribbon, Every Story” cancer awareness event on October 2, its Annual Non-Profit Networking Exchange on October 15, and active participation at the Nonprofit Annual Conference. These events highlight some of the best of the non-profit community, bringing people together for the greater good and spreading awareness of significant needs within the city.

A coworking space
It has been a center for collaboration, diverse work, and service for decades. The building is home to leading non-profit organizations, communities, education groups, and other philanthropic organizations dedicated to advocacy and great social impact.
The building houses more than just office space. Everything an organization could need to start and grow its mission can be found at including meeting rooms, art galleries, an on-site library, a wellness center, Wi-Fi service, a mailroom. Non-profits can use the space to weave together a focus on the important work that they do, spiritual connection, and convenience.
A sense of community
The center hosts a number of moving annual events, aiming to bring people together for a common cause. On October 2, 2025, they are hosting an event called “Every Ribbon, Every Story” a cancer awareness event that honors individual stories of triumph. The event features sharing their stories, health panels by experts in the field, and networking.
The event also takes special care to highlight a neighborhood well acquainted with overcoming adversity, and fosters community connections between cancer providers, and supporters.
Like all events hosted by this special event seeking to raise awareness is approached with the inclusivity and compassion that define the Center’s entire mission. They work hard to provide a platform for organizations by providing the resources necessary to spotlight important issues and drum up community support.
A meeting of changemakers
A few weeks after the Unique event will host the Annual Non-Profit Networking Exchange, an event that aims to galvanize the nonprofit sector, not only but in as a whole. This event is about collaboration between non-profits, resource sharing, and relationship-building.
The Non-Profit Network Exchange brings together providers and organizations to share knowledge, showcase their individual missions, and create new partnerships. Attendees of this open event The Interchurch Center can gain direct access to potential partners and help them leverage the shared space.
This event will feature activities such as networking, small breakout groups, and speakers who will share about the non-profit work that they do. This event helps strengthen its mission-based approach and underscores the importance of its work in nurturing community care and advocacy.
Expanding influence
The Nonprofit Annual Conference brings over 1,000 non-profit organizations together, helping them co-create solutions for the myriad challenges that the sector faces. This in-person event helps foster collaboration and strengthens the community overall.
It will attend the conference in hopes of expanding its influence in the nonprofit space and to show organizations how they can support them.

Events like this show how remains a guiding light for based missions and community advocacy. Based organizations such as Alcoholics Anonymous, the Teaching Matters can take advantage of significantly lower rents, cleaning services, a subsidized cafeteria, conference rooms for important meetings, a research library, and many more amenities at allowing them to work collaboratively to make a difference.
It has been giving non-profits a place to continue their mission-driven work. They serve as a hub for community culture and driving necessary change. Through events and community involvement, the Center remains a significant driver of good in its direct community and beyond.
