EXCLUSIVE: Innovative Artists Entertainment has signed actor Peter MacNicol for representation in theatrical and literary.
Earning an Emmy and a SAG Ensemble Award for his early 2000s role in Fox’s Ally McBeal, MacNicol earned another Emmy nomination for his work as foul-mouthed New Hampshire political power player Jeff Kane on HBO’s Veep in 2019.
Recently, MacNicol has been seen in Max Minghella’s Shell opposite Elisabeth Moss, also recurring on CBS’s All Rise, and starring in indie Home Delivery opposite Lesley Ann Warren, Lindsay Sloane, Donald Faison, and Joey Pantoliano. Upcoming, he’s set to appear in Ryan Murphy’s legal drama All’s Fair with Kim Kardashian, which premieres on Hulu November 4.
In television, MacNicol’s other credits include The Big Bang Theory, Chicago Hope, Grey’s Anatomy, The Mindy Project, A Series of Unfortunate Events, and a co-starring role in Jay Roach’s Game Change for HBO. His feature credits include Sophie’s Choice, Ghostbusters II, and Bean.

Kicking off his career in the Guthrie Theatre and on the Broadway stage, MacNicol his Broadway debut as part of the original cast of Crimes of the Heart in 1981. He has also voiced several comic book supervillains such as Dr. Kirk Langstrom / Man-Bat in The Batman, David Clinton / Chronos in Justice League Unlimited, Professor Ivo in Young Justice, Dr. Otto Octavius / Doctor Octopus in The Spectacular Spider-Man, X The Eliminator in Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law, and the Mad Hatter in the video games Batman: Arkham City, Batman: Arkham Origins, and Batman: Arkham Knight.
