The Whoopi Goldberg War Room™ has received operational support from ally Joy Behar, as the pair teamed up to mock The View producer Brian Teta live on air on Tuesday.

While the panelists discussed their ongoing horror over Donald Trump’s plans to deploy more National Guard troops to cities around the country, the Hot Topics table turned up the heat on a member of The View family on Behar’s birthday episode.

“In all of their minds, they now believe they have carte blanche to do whatever they want to. That’s what the feeling is,” Goldberg said, before Behar proposed that right-wing politicians might try to “stop us from voting,” she predicted.

“The one thing that makes us very different from lots of other countries? Our votes, they do count, I know that they count,” Goldberg continued.

“I think people will figure out how to vote. One thing I believe I know about Americans, they don’t want to be told what to do. They don’t want that,” she added. “They don’t want it. They can suggest some stuff, but they don’t want you saying you’ve got to go over her and do this.”

Goldberg attempted to move on with the conversation, saying, “They don’t want that, they don’t want a dictatorship, and I think people want…” before trailing off and looking to her right, toward Teta, as she addressed him by saying, “Okay, I hear you.”

Behar then muttered from her corner of the table, “This is the dictatorship right here,” with Goldberg repeating the sentiment as she said, “This is the dictatorship right here.”

The show cut to a shot of Teta, who nervously smiled from the sidelines.

Goldberg then turned toward the camera and said, “Well, I’ll tell you something,” she said pausing for a comically long period of time as she announced, “We’ll be right back.”

Goldberg has long poked fun at Teta on the show, with the Ghost actress almost making a weekly occurrence of taking issue with him — or another member of the production staff — telling her to cut to a commercial break.

In March, Goldberg grew annoyed after Teta teed up the show’s theme music to play her off.

“You like to play that music, don’t you?” Goldberg asked. “We have a lot of guests today,” Teta replied.

Teta attempted to move the program along weeks after a February installment ran long, resulting in the show bumping a planned interview with the cast of Queer Eye from its live show to a pre-taped segment that debuted shortly thereafter.

The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. PT on ABC.
