Kevin Federline revealed that he hasn’t had communication with his ex-wife, Britney Spears, “for a long time.
“It’s definitely been some years,” the former backup dancer, who was married to the “Gimme More “singer from 2004 to 2007, told the Daily Mail.
As for the exes’ sons, Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19, Federline said they have both seen their mom “within the last year.”
Sean visited the “Toxic” singer last Christmas, while Jayden saw Spears “three or four months ago.”
Federline — who relocated to Hawaii with his sons and his wife, Victoria Prince, in 2023 — said the communication between his ex and their kids is “pretty open,” but “not what it should be.”
“That’s a fluid situation. Something that needs work, and there’s a lot to try to be built on right there,” he told the outlet.
“My sons are adults now, so I mean, they have to really figure out what they’re trying to do with that situation … I don’t want them living under the shadow of all of this,” the DJ added.
Federline made several bombshell allegations about Spears in his newly released memoir, “You Thought You Knew.”
In the book, the “You Got Served” dancer alleged the pop star was watching their sons sleep while holding a knife in her hand.
Federline, 47, also claimed Spears, 43, did cocaine while breastfeeding their boys, punched their eldest son, Sean, and wished the children were dead.
He further wrote that he believes Spears is “racing toward” a tragic ending with her erratic behavior.
“From where I sit, the clock is ticking, and we’re getting close to the 11th hour. Something bad is going to happen if things don’t change, and my biggest fear is that our sons will be left holding the pieces,” he penned.
The Grammy winner denied her ex’s allegations, claiming his new book was a money grab.
“To be loved unconditionally and with a naive heart like mine, always being threatened or made to believe I’m the bad one as they profit off my pain,” she tweeted Oct. 16.
“If you really love someone then you don’t help them by humiliating them. What scared me was how serious and angry he got, people have no idea, it is way worse than anyone could imagine,” Spears wrote.
