GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – The Community Impact Council, a coalition of nonprofits across Western Colorado, are coming together engage in important conversations.

On Tuesday, October 7th, the council will host a discussion, “Building a Resilient Public”, that focuses on people, learning and lands. It takes place from 5:30 to 7:30 at The Art Center in Grand Junction.

Abe Herman is the member of council, who will be moderating this year’s event. He describes the Community Council as a “nonprofit that serves other nonprofits.”

“Our mission is to bolster all the great local nonprofits we have in the community,” he said.

According to Herman, six local leaders in the nonprofit and public sector will host a conversation that focuses on navigating change and challenges, while building resilience and sustainability for the future.

The event is free and open to the public. All are welcome and encouraged to engage in the conversation.
