Ne-Yo enjoying single life after divorce with two girlfriends suggests that people should be able to marry multiple partners news

Grammy Award-winning artist Ne-Yo wants to explore relationships on his own terms—that is, multiple relationships without delay.

Fresh from his controversial divorce from “Bold & Bougie” star Crystal Renay, the singer is experimenting with being a triplet for the primary time and believes that polygamy – the practice of getting a couple of spouse – should be legalized.

He and Crystal finalized their divorce last 12 months after he welcomed two children with one other woman during their eight-year marriage.

The father of seven wasn’t shy about showing off his two latest romantic partners when TMZ caught up with him at The Grove shopping mall in Los Angeles on April 18. The three were walking down the road, holding hands, when Ne-Yo candidly shared his thoughts on alternative relationships with a reporter.

On the topic of polygamy, which has been banned within the U.S. since 1882, he said: “Frankly, I don’t need the government to tell me what I can and can’t do in my personal life.” adding that he believed it should be legal to marry a couple of person.

“In a world of love and romance, you should let people do whatever the hell they want. I don’t see it hurting anyone,” he said when asked about his new situation.

Other asked some practical questions“He has the money for it. He also only dates black women, so they can’t hate him for that. I wonder what would happen if polygamy was allowed and both wives wanted to divorce. How much would they get from him? Would the first wife be entitled to more?”

Although Ne-Yo is a supporter of marrying multiple women, he seems to be disengaged on the topic in his personal life and avoids asking questions. “I won’t let this ruin my day. Ultimately, the people I love know that I love them and they love me,” he said.

Alternative relationship styles such as ethical nonmonogamy, polyamory, and open relationships have become increasingly popular in recent years. A 2021 national survey found that as many as 4-5 percent of the U.S. population practices polyamory, and celebrities are often leading the charge, normalizing romantic entanglements that would have shocked people a generation ago.

But polygamy is a different story: every state has laws against getting married while already married to another person, and yet it is one of the least “morally acceptable” behaviors, the place right below “animal cloning” in a Gallup poll.

Ne-Yo noted that this is his first polyamorous relationship and was hesitant to recommend it to others. “I don’t recommend anything to anyone. What works for me may not work for you. Find out what works for you.”

One day, his two beloved women were silent about marrying Ne-Yo, giggling on the query as they walked down the road.

The “So Sick” singer is thought for his smooth falsetto and confessional lyrics that touch on personal themes of affection and heartbreak, but it surely’s been two years since his last album, “Self Explanatory,” was released.

Will his latest girlfriends and threesome experience find their way into future songs? Ne-Yo hinted that “it will happen,” saying, “I’m not forcing it. When it comes to music, it happens naturally. It happens organically.”
