Two men have been charged in connection with an arson attack on Peacehaven Mosque, according to Sussex Police.

No one was injured in the fire on 4 October, though the front of the building in Phyllis Avenue and a car parked outside were damaged.

Ricky Ryder, 38, of Richington Way in Seaford, and Jack Slowey, 34, of Mayfield Avenue in Peacehaven, have been charged with arson with intent to endanger life.

The pair have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court later.

A 42-year-old man from Peacehaven arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life has been released on conditional bail.
