Two weeks ago, COLLiDE Sport — the unconventional brainiacs behind the Portland Pickles and Portland Bangers, revealed their plans to bring a new USL Women’s League soccer team to the Northwest in 2026.
What they didn’t announce was an official team name.
They admit they have one in the works, but it won’t be disclosed until November.
So, COLLiDE Sport didn’t ask… But, as inquiring journalists, we felt it was our obligation to pose the question to the public:
What should Portland’s upcoming USL-W soccer team be called?
Our informal poll brought in close to 1,000 suggestions. Some were sweet. Some were randy. All were pretty darn clever. We tasked ourselves to narrow the list down to a top 25.

As an unofficial poll, we have no prize to those whose suggestions made our list. Just some serious bragging rights.
