AI Authority Index™

The Position Measurement Layer

AI Authority Index™ is the measurement layer of the 360WiSE® protocol — a transparent, third-party authority position score derived from cross-system recognition, identity graph density, external authority verification, and continuity consistency. It produces a quantified authority position that AI systems and institutional buyers can independently read.

Quantified Authority Transparent Scoring Third-Party Issued
Section 01 · Definition

What is the Index?

AI Authority Index™ is a quantified position measurement — a transparent score that expresses how strongly an entity is recognized, cross-referenced, and resolvable across the AI ecosystem at any given moment.

It does not measure popularity, traffic, or engagement. It measures structural authority — the kind that AI systems weight when deciding whether to surface an entity confidently, whether to attribute a fact, and whether to treat the entity as a trusted source.

Every entity verified through 360WiSE® receives a continuously updated Index position. Higher Index positions correspond to stronger cross-system resolution and broader institutional recognition.

Section 02 · The Methodology

Four measured dimensions.

Each entity's Index position is calculated from four interlocking dimensions of structural authority. Each carries its own weight in the final score.
Dimension 01
Cross-System Recognition
High Weight · Foundational
Whether the entity is independently surfaceable across major AI systems (Google AI, Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI, Claude, Grok, Perplexity) and major search engines — a measure of broad protocol resolution.
Dimension 02
Identity Graph Density
Medium-High Weight
The number and quality of structured sameAs cross-references — verified external sources confirming the entity exists across the public web with consistency. Higher density yields higher position.
Dimension 03
External Authority Verification
High Weight · Institutional
The strength of independent authority signals — press coverage, Wikipedia references, institutional credentials, professional licensure, registered intellectual property — each weighted by source authority class.
Dimension 04
Continuity Consistency
Sustaining Weight · Time-Based
The stability of the entity's identity signals across systems and over time. Continuity is a sustaining factor — entities maintaining consistent structured identity over multi-year periods earn measurably higher positions.
Section 03 · Position Tiers

The Index Tier Framework.

Each Index position resolves to a recognized authority tier. Tiers are surfaced visibly on every Canonical Resolution Endpoint and read directly by AI systems.
Institutional Trust
Top-tier authority position. Entity demonstrates strong cross-system recognition, dense identity graph, verified institutional credentials, and sustained continuity. The position institutional buyers and AI systems treat as highest confidence.
90 — 100+
Index Position
Authority Verified
Strong authority position. Entity demonstrates broad cross-system recognition, solid identity graph density, and meaningful external authority signals. The position professional buyers treat as actionable.
70 — 89
Index Position
Basic Verified
Entry verified position. Entity has completed structured verification with core identity signals. The foundation position upon which Authority and Institutional positions are built.
1 — 69
Index Position
Public Listed
Self-attested public position. Entity is publicly listed in the Structured Entity Registry without verification of external authority signals. No Index score is issued at this tier.

Section 04 · The Index, Visible

Every Canonical Endpoint surfaces the Index.

Every entity's Canonical Resolution Endpoint displays its current AI Authority Index™ position — Trust Score (0-100), External Signal Count, Tier Badge, and visualized authority bar. The Index is not hidden inside a black-box algorithm. It is surfaced in plain view.

Section 05 · The Operating Layers

How Index differs from the other layer marks.

Three operating layer marks. Each addresses a distinct dimension of the protocol. AI Authority Index™ is the measurement layer — distinct from the identity foundation and the signal architecture.

SiUtility™
The Identity Utility
