BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) – On Thursday, Antero Resources presented $170,000 in charitable gifts to several local nonprofit organizations.

The funds came from their annual “Fuel the Burn” oil and gas dodgeball tournament held in Harrison County in July. The tournament has raised close to $1 million over seven years.

Five community nonprofit organizations received $34,000 each at Thursdays check presentation to help with their funding.

Representatives from Drug Abuse Resistance Education program, Patrons of the Park, Genesis Youth Center, Hero’s Haven Child Advocacy Center, and the Harrison County Casa program spoke about how Antero Resources has helped them over the years during the presentation.

“We would never be where we are today without their support,” said Alisha Madia. “They have helped us to grow in terms of staff, in terms of resources, and in meeting the needs of the children that come to us with great need. And without Antero, we wouldn’t be able to do that and continue to expand our services.”

Antero Resources will be hosting their next annual derby fundraiser in May of 2026.
