MORGANTOWN, W.Va (WDTV) – A local store in Morgantown hosted a fundraiser today with some appearances from wild birds.

The Avian Conservation Center of Appalachia held a fundraiser at Hoot and Howl in Morgantown.

Attendees were able to venture throughout the store and create cards themed with today’s event.

Along with all of this, those in attendance were able to meet some of the birds who attended as well.

“I think it’s really important to connect people with wildlife and the birds that we share the ecosystem,” said Katie Fallon, executive director of the ACCA.

Next week, the ACCA will be hosting their “owlween” event.
